Cabela's 9 Uninsulated Outfitter Series Pro Hunting Boots -
Since they first hit the pages of our catalog 14 years ago, our Outfitter Series boots have risen to the top of our legendary family of hunting boots to claim their spot as our best-selling hunting boots of all time – a title they still hold today. The Pro Series, our latest evolution of this wildly popular line, still boasts all the rugged dependability you've come to expect from boots that bear the legendary Outfitter name, but are loaded with a slew of updated, comfort-enhancing features that the hunter can appreciate. The updated midsoles incorporate the Shock Absorbing Workboot (SAW) technology, which employs strategically placed impact zones in the forefoot and heel that soak up virtually 100% of ground shock. These boots have GORE-TEX® Scent-Lok® linings that don't need to be reactivated. All you have to do is allow the boots to air out after each use. The uppers are crafted of tough, generously oiled American leather with richly padded Bombardier leather collars. We then extended the lacing system farther out over the toes for even more support and stability. Plus, a Cabela's-exclusive Vibram® outsoles, with an innovative multidirectional tread patterning, grab tough terrain while releasing mud and snow. Uninsulated.

NOT Happy,Happy,Happy

I rate Cabelas a 5 and this boot a 1.
Not durable! My first pair fell apart after a month...then I took them back and got another pair (I know I'm a slow learner), I got the second ones half a size bigger hoping they would be more comfortable than the first pair.
This boot turned me from being a 20 mile a day-you cant keep up with me in the Rocky Mountains-guy into a blistered wimp...even after a break-in period. And they were showing workmanship flaws in the eyelet area already.
I left a camp in the Salmo-Priest Wilderness yesterday because I was handicapped by this boot and could not do what I needed to if I was successful on the hunt. I went to Cabelas and they fixed me up with some Cabelas Perfekt 10" that feel incredible right out of the box...I will be 4 miles from a road by daylight tomorrow! :)
Take it from a guy that has worn out every brand of good boot out there...I would stay away from this particular boot. I wish I would have read all the reviews before I went through this grief !

Worst Purchase Ever

I bought these boots a few months ago to wear after my other boots wore out. I should have wore the boots sooner then I could have returned them. worst boot I have ever wore. the tongue of the boot is so thick it wads up when you lace the boots so much so that its actually painful. trying to lace the boots up is another challenge. the laces will not slide thru the eyelets. try pulling on the laces to make a snug fit is almost impossible with the thick tongue. the insole is so thin I had to use diff insole in order wear the boots. the outsole is so stiff you clump when you walk. the only improvement that I see that could be made is to not make the boot at all. this boot is so bad it is actually painful to wear. I will never buy this boot again.

decent boot, just not for me

Just took them out of the box and wore them around the house. They seem to be a very sturdy boot, quite stiff and I imagine there will be a good break in period. However, they are advertised as a 9" boot, which they are at the top of the laces in front, to the bottom of the sole. But the leg opening is cut at a slant toward the pull tab on the back of the boot where they only measure eight inches from the bottom of the sole to the top. From inside the insole to the top of the boot at the pull tab in back is only 6". I personally prefer a taller boot so I will be exchanging them for something different. Another first impression is that they are very bulky feeling, I guess due to the wider outsole for resoling purposes. I think in the right application they would be a great boot but they just didn't meet my expectations.
