Great for Gulf Coast Jetty Fishing

The Advanced Angler pack is a great tackle box and back pack. While fishing the Gulf Coast of Texas all the way from Galveston to Mustang Island and the Port Aransas South Jetty this pack came in handy and did the job well. The pack held all my tackle, extra rod and reel, sunglasses and all the extras needed while surf fishing, jetty fishing and pier fishing. The added sling pack came in handy and held those small lures like jigs, popping corks, extra top water baits. I recommend this to any angler needing a tackle box that is mobile and can stand up to the elements. Very comfortable padded waist and padded shoulder straps made for hours of comfort while fishing on the coastal Jetty's, Surf & Piers. The end result was a limit of Bull Redfish, limit of Spanish Mackerel, cooler full of sand trout and a great time. Thanks to Cabela's design this pack made carrying all my gear easy and enjoyable.

beast of burden

The bag is the best yet in a long line of small but not designed for the purpose backpacks I have previously used on fishing expeditions.Well designed & comfortable.A feature I particularly like is the webbing pocket on the side which will allow me to carry my fly rod.The pocket for lure boxes is big enough for me to substitute my food and emergency supplies for 2 of the boxes supplied with the bag

Totally Satisfied

A VERY nice pack at the price point it sells for. I like the fact that it doesn't have a bah-zillion pockets,as I typically misplace things if I have -too- many options. The (several) pockets it does have hold everything I need for a day on the water. The back is nicely padded and the straps are comfortable, making it a pleasure to wear. Nice job Cabela's.

Negative Reviews:

Not very functional

This bag isn't designed very well for organizing your gear. Except for the trays in the bottom compartment and the main pocket, the other pockets are actually too small to hold the things I carry on/off the boat. Most pockets are just big enough to keep keys, wallet, and cell phone. But other things like sun block, bug spray, knife and pliers all get tossed into the only large compartment so, when you need something, you have to dig for it. The straps, zippers, and clips are a good. Don't know if I'll ever need the belly strap (window dressing).
