ProSport 1.5 Amp Maintainer

Although there were no directions included with the product, it was easy to hook up. Red lead to the positive and black lead to the negative. Packaging states user changable for gel batteries, called manafacturer they stated no changes neccessary or possible. It has been hooked upfor 2 months and seems to be working fine.

1.5 amp maintainer

Product is great. The only drawback was that it did not include a blank female end that is mounted into your boat . This end keeps the Male plug from dangling around when you are not using the charger.

Good charger

This charger is perfect for a float charger. It has an led to show it is on and my digital voltmeter shows it stays steady at 13.2 volts. It appears to be well made and waterproof.

Not the solution

This didn't work for me. I bought it for my fish finder battery. I hooked it up and plugged in for more than 24 hours. At the lake the fish finder flickered and went dead after a few minutes. I thought it was a bad battery, but my portable car charger recorded no charge, and it had everything working again overnight. The charger is either bad or inadequate. It's going back for a trade-up.
