Cabela's Alaskan Guide 60-Qt. Cooler Reviews:

Positive Reviews:

Love it!

I love this cooler. It's low enough to fit under the tonneau cover of my truck. Beats the competitors at a lower price. Very well insulated with good lid gasket. I like the fact that there are no rope handles. I removed the rubber legs because it prevented it from sliding on my spray in bed liner. I can put a a quartered deer and head in there with plenty of room left over.

alaskan guide 400 qt. cooler

the grizzle 400 is a very fine cooler but it is huge.it held 3 processed mule deer and they only took up a little over half the space.after 4 days travel there was still part of the 20 lbs. of dry ice.

Negative Reviews:

Disappointed

I purchased the 60-qt Cooler and I have to say, I am a little disappointed. First the cooler is durable and does ok vs. other brands of extended coolers for ice retention. However, the feet on the bottom of the cooler fall off so easy in the bed of a truck or trailer. They are screwed in the bottom and have nothing to hold them in. All four of mine fell off on the first hunting trip I was on and I lost 3 of them and all the screws. I would recommend you Loctite them in when you first get it. Paying alot for an item and the feet fall off on the first trip is not the quality I would expect out of a Cabela’s product.

Not sure will recommend giving it a second chance

Just traded the first one in on a second one. All the feet fell off on the first hunting trip. Lost them all. Looked like they should have been screwed on, but think they were just stuck on somehow. Will give it a second chance. Did keep ice for our entire trip - 6 days - that was Great.
