The outer layer of Cabela's Alaskan Guide Sneakers' pigskin leather uppers are treated with Cabela's Shield, an advanced coating that penetrates the leather to repel oil and water, keeping them looking sharper longer. 360° mud and slush guards built of abrasion-resistant rubberized material above the outsoles help prevent scuffing. The insides are fully lined with plush shearling sheepskin for incredible natural insulation when it's cold and superb moisture-management when temperatures warm. Compression-molded EVA midsoles are the same type used in high-performance athletic and hiking footwear. Shearling-lined footbeds are removable and  provide a stable, cushioned platform for your feet. Complete coverage around your feet for unparalleled comfort.  Nonmarking rubber outsoles with a self-cleaning tread pattern affords excellent traction. Imported.

Comfortable and convenient.

Apparently, the brown ones are more popular. The store I visited was sold out of the brown ones with no rain check so I got these. I normally wear a 9.5 wide. These are made in whole sizes so I tried the 9 and 10. The 9 was short by about a half inch - width was fine. The 10 was roomy and had the length. I bought the 10. So, they do run a bit wide but you'll still likely end up buying the whole size above any half-size you normally wear. The lining is 'genuine shearling' and they do have lined inserts although not made very well. Also, there is virtually no arch support: either you add an arch support over top of the lined inserts or underneath them.. . .or, replace the inserts entirely. These do not flex much and it'll take a while for them to break in if they ever do. Doesn't seem like they're designed for a lot of serious walking, which is ok. I use them as a quick on/off solution to those short winter trips to the mailbox, garage, car, truck, wood pile... They're comfortable, they're easy to get on and off and they're very convenient. Made in China.

Great run-around shoe!

I was in our local Cabela's looking for a slipper like shoe that I could wear for quick trips outside do do things. Another person in the store at the time recommended these to me. My wife thought they looked too heavy for our area but the very next day we got 10+ inches of snow and -8 degree temps. Of course I had to put them to test. The shearling lining is comforable and warm as expected and the mud/slush guard material and upper resisted moisture. The shearling lining is good for both cold and hot temps too. These are exactly what I wanted and I am very pleased with them. The fit was perfect for me.
