Cabela's Alaskan Guide Pvc Parka Regular Reviews:

Seems well made

I haven't had an opportunity to use the parka, yet, but I have tried it on. It seems well made and the seams all look to be heavily sealed.
There is a strap on the back of the hood so the hood can be adjusted to keep the visor out of your face (or drop it lower to keep the blowing wind/water out of your face). There are adjustable neoprene cuffs hidden inside the ends of the sleeves. The two, large cargo pockets with flaps are nice; gives you someplace to put your pliers, hanky or flask. The interior has a "fuzzy" lining of some sort which improves the feel of the vinyl.
The entire parka is nice and roomy which should help with ventilation to keep sweating and the resultant condensation at a minimum, which is one of the big drawbacks to vinyl.
There is even a tab on the back designed to accept a safety-pin style pouch to display your license/tag for those who need to have them on display when hunting or fishing.

Best rain gear I'v ever owned. Going to Alaska to work at a fish hatchery for 8 months so I can't wait to see how it works up there.
