Cabela's AR-15 Triple Rail Mount Reviews:

Positive Reviews:

Good for the price

This triple rail mount was the perfect solution for me, it came with the bottom rail for a bi-pod or forward grip and the top mount perfect for my surefire and secondary sight, I didn't want to spend a bunch of money on quad rails for those few things. The rails do a great job of it too! Only 4 stars because I did have an issue with the rails squeezing together also but a few adjustments to all the screws fixes that while keeping it secure. A great product for someone looking for an economical solution.

Negative Reviews:

The instalation instructions should be very easy but they were very unclear and confusing. The inside diameter of the rail is smaller and does not match the outside diameter of the hand gaurd so when you fasten it down tight, the new rail squeezes and deforms the hand gaurd slightly. Also the screw heads are not much bigger than the hole in the hand gaurd and when you tighten the screws you can see the head digging into the hand gaurd. There should be a metal plate that comes with the installation kit for inside the gaurd. I finally got everything in it's place and together, and it works, just some minor design flaws. I think the best thing to do would be to buy a quad rail and be done with it. But this is a much cheaper method.

Doesn't fit my pre-ban Colt AR15

I have a late 80’s pre-ban Colt AR15 Sporter HBAR. It is totally stock and this item would not fit. I was able to get at least two of the vent/screw holes to line up (all four would not line up at all) and tighten it down somewhat but the angle was all off and all the slots would not line up with those on the hand guard. Even though it ‘might’ have been possible; I wasn’t going to hack it all up with a Dremel tool, so I returned it.

Beats a new handguard

I was simply looking for the most economical way of adding Picatinny rail connections to my DPMS to enable add-ons or in particular a bipod. Worked well. It is a plastic product so some care in overtightening would be prudent.
