Cabela's Boat Seat Pedestals

This product was poorly designed and does not work. The order comes in three parts and you have to put it together. Once together the pedestal is very lose and does not feel secure. I took it fishing one time and the adjustable position for the seat moves while you are fishing. There are four positions to choose from, but the pin does not lock in properly and it constandly moves. The position changed while i was driving the boat. I almost fell in the water when i was leaning on it and the postion moved and I only weigh 195 so my weight has nothing to do with it. I would not recommend this pedestal to anyone!

Had high hopes for this product but it completely fails. The power pedestal comes in two parts the shaft and the lever which you have to insert. As soon as it goes together, it extends to the maximum position and won't adjust. I thought this might be an isolated incident but the replacement unit did the same thing. Springfield is a big name and I've had few problems with other styles. The adjustable/tilt seat sounded good too but it weighs a ton and the adjustment plate hangs down far enough to hit the lever that doesn't work. I've wasted about 3 plus weeks and I'm done with it. I'll go with a manual adjust or something.
