Cabela's Cammenga 3H Tritium Compass Reviews:

I highly recommend it!

As a retired military Scout and Infantryman, I've had the pleasure of using this model in two wars, and during peace time while conducting advanced land navigation training with our troops. I wouldn't leave home without it, because I fully trust it with my life! I found the operating instructions correct in all functional areas. The only broken compass I have ever seen was run over by a 5 ton truck with cracked Bezel cover. I also realize the average recreational user would never require a need for constructing firing positions, calling in artillery fire support, directing aircraft on bombing runs or conducting night reconnaissance patrols. The features, and design are perfect in the right hands with minimum training. In fact everything about this product was designed & tested for a purpose we may never realize or ever require. I did notice a slight difference in brightness between older models during night usage. However this can be a non-issue when using the luminous Bezel Indicator with good compass bearing locked in, topographical map recon, pace count, or turning on a flash light unless you're in a combat zone! Good price for the bang, and for reliability when you can nail a one foot long spike at 1000 meters moving cross country, and sitting between three targets five meters left and right. An option of selecting an assortment of colors would be great for our ladies, while assisting those forgetting to use a lanyard.

one of the best money can buy

this is the same item issued to our military; it is built like a tank, accurate, and easy to use. I want to buy another one just as a spare.

Great compass

I used the the compass for a weekend survival school, and it was by far the best one there. Illuminated, easy to read, and easy to set your azimuth.
