First the positive. It is compact, holds three choke tubes and a wrench and fits into your pocket. I only gave it 2 stars based on Cabelas ranking: "fair". I would recommend this anyway because it works and is 6 bucks worth of product: you get your money's worth. The downside: it is not, as indicated, made from cordura; or at least the cordura with which I am familiar. It is made from a flimsy cloth that will not likely last very long. It really needs to be beefed up. Customer recommendation: Cabelas: this would be a near perfect product if you were to make this from a heavier, stiffer cordura material like 1000 denier nylon. Widen and deepen the little wrench pocket too. I would also suggest side flaps that fold over and seal off the inside of the pouch. Ya, it might end up costing $15 but the improvements, especially in materials, would be well worth the higher price. Hope you are listening boys!
This choke tube pouch is a close copy oof the one that came with my first set of Remchokes many, many years ago. I say CLOSE copy because although the design is nearly exact the materials are not quite as good. The older pouch is more robust because it is made of heavier, stiffer cloth. Almost a heavy canvas. The heavier material gives a stiffness that's desirable when inserting and removing the tubes and wrench. Especially one handed. I'll probably use the new pouch but every time I do, I'll be wishing it was made a little better.
