Cabela's Co2 Load Discharger Kit And Replacement Cartridges Reviews:

Wouldn't be without it!

I would not be without one of these in my possibles bag! Have accidently loaded a couple "dry balls" and of course it blows them right fact, be sure you're aiming the barrel at something like a dirt mound as they will come out with some force. I've also had a stuck jag and patch and as tight as that was it still blew it out. It is true, as stated in another review, that the cartridges don't last long, but what this tool saves you is well worth the cost of a few cartridges. While a little smaller and a tad shorter, you can use the much lower cost and more readily available CO2 cartridges for BB guns. Just put a little wadding in the bottom of the "holder" to raise the smaller cartridge up about 3/16" and it will work perfectly.

For regular muzzleloaders, this thing is slick. Beats a bullet puller by miles. Only problem I noticed is it doesn't work w/ PowerBelt bullets very well. Blows the lead out, but the wad cup stays in the barrel. At that point, you still need a bullet puller to screw into the hole of the cup and extract (wad cup is still usable). Be sure to point the muzzle into a soft backstop as the bullet and powder come out at a pretty good clip. Works great with cast bullets and balls.

Great Product

This works great for my flintlock. I like to unload after the morning and evening hunts and this has worked perfect for me. I just remove the lock and touch hole liner and a quick blast saves me time of having to clean the gun after firing or having to pull the ball out. I don't understand why others had problems, because this has worked for me everytime. The only downside is that each cartridge will only work for about 4 blasts, so buy plenty of extras.

Excellent Product

I used the Load Discharger to clear out a Thompson/Center .50-Caliber Shock Wave Mag Express Sabot in my Thompson Center .50 Caliber Hawken after three misfires in a row......think I left too much oil in the barrel after my last cleaning. I just placed the larger tip over the #11 nipple and it blew the load right out in a matter of 1 second. Now i use the discharger to blow any excess oil out after cleaning and no more misfires!
