Cabela's Columbia Blazing Star Interchange Jacket Reviews:

Poor Quality Jacket - Size runs WAY small

For the price you pay for all things Columbia, you would think you would actually get a well fitting, quality product. Far from that with the Blazing Star Interchange Jacket. I ordered my normal size and when it arrived I could tell their sizing was way off. It wouldn't go on past my elbows. So either they mislabeled it or they assume that all women are a size zero. There would be no way to wear any suitable layers like a heavy sweater or sweatshirt with this jacket. Again for the price you pay, they should really do a lot better. I also noticed that for a jacket labeled under "heavy weight" outerwear on Cabela's website, that this jacket is extremely thin and nowhere near an outdoor heavy winter jacket capable of keeping you warm in the cold Midwest winters. We just had a week of below zero temps and this jacket would not have held up for anything. This a lightweight jacket suitable for fall temps at best. I am extremely disappointed and will be returning this to the store. Come on Columbia! I've tried you for the last time and will move on to other brands. Your quality has gone into the toilet!

Disappointed by Columbia

My daughter wanted a North Face fleece for Christmas because that's what everyone else had. My wife and I have been very happy with our Columbia outerwear and since it was substantially cheaper, I convinced her to look at the Columbia jackets and she liked this one. She tried my wife's medium jacket on, which fit her well, so we ordered a medium. When we got it, the jacket was a bit tight but the fleece was too tight and she couldn't get her arms into it. She was disappointed to not be able to wear her new coat during the polar vortex but Cabelas was quick with the exchange to a large. Unfortunately when we got the large, the coat fit fine but she still couldn't get her arms past the elbows of the fleece. It seemed like the fleece was manufactured wrong. Cabelas was great about exchanging it again but this time we are going with a North Face. I guess Columbia isn't the company it used to be...
