Cabela's Convert-A-Ball Kits Reviews:

Positive Reviews:

This is the second one I've purchased in the last 20 years. The quality and convience are impeckable. Even though I had one that was defective the company stood behind it with no questions asked, and that was after eight yrs. It's great knowing that customer satisfaction IS important to the company. convert a ball

I have used these for over 12 years now and it is the best and most convieniant of any I have tried. And I like the storage box and pin cover that are optional for keeping them clean and out of the way.

Trailer Hitch Balls

This kit enables quick changes from 1-7/8's through 2-1/8 balls. Very handy!!

Negative Reviews:

Convert-a-ball = trailer escape

After 2 years of use, my Convert-a-ball retainer pin sheared while trailering my boat down a gravel road. This allowed my Ranger bass boat trailer to jump off the hitch and gave my safety chains an oppourtunity to show their usefullness. I do not reccomend this product for heavy boats. The 1 7/8" ball worked fine for my lighter aluminum fishing boat but the Ranger is 4x heavier. Rough roads make the shear even more likely to occur.
