Cabela's Depthmaster Trolling Rods Reviews:

Great Rod for the Price

I have been using the 8'-6" downrigger rods for walleye and salmon on Lake Ontario for 3 seasons now. They have great action and work great with inline planer boards or for trolling mast and large boards. These have out performed my expectations for a cheap rod and have caught easily 100+ fish to date. I am not a charter but troll from April 1st till October 31st. I have more expensive rods that work equally well maybe a bit better but for the price you can't beat the quality.

Good so far

I have used this pole about 5 times and it has worked well. I am new to trolling, but it has been easy to use. Still have not caught a fish though : ( But that is due to my inexperience with trolling, not because of the pole.
