Cabela’s Fish Eagle rods have been our best-selling series since 1990. Now we’ve taken these customer favorites to the next level with features that make them even more sensitive and reliable. Made of high-quality HM50 graphite, the 50-million PSI modulus blanks are equipped with Pac Bay® stainless steel guide frames with Hialoy® ceramic inserts, which are durable and resistant to wear, reducing line friction for consistently longer casts and smoother retrieves. These spinning rods feature down-locking fore grips for flawless security, eliminating exposed reel seat threads, and are outfitted with cork grips with rubberized accents for a better grasp. The pearl gray-green color has a matte finish. These travel rods break down into four pieces for easy portability (case sold separately). Cabela's Fish Eagle 50 Travel Spinning Rods - 4 Piece Review:

Very Good Travel Rod

I bought the 6' ML model. Nice matte finish. I also bought the Fish Eagle rod tube for the rod's storage and protection. That was a good plan. I have used it several times in both salt and fresh water and am very pleased with it. It seems a little stiffer than some other rods if you cast lures below it's rated weights, it seems to handle heavier lures easier. It has plenty of backbone to turn bigger fish, and it has a tip section that allows for a good feel for hits.
All in all, a good choice for a travel/pack rod.
