Very Impressive. Awesome gun.

I hunted as a kid and haven't hunted or shot in over 10 years. I am cutting my teeth to get back into the game by varmint and squirrel hunting. Before I go up to turkey and Deer I am sharpening my stalking and shooting skills with this gun. It is sturdy and has the feel of a real rifle. The scope is very easy to zero. With the Gamo performance pellets I use a mix of Red Fires and Rockets as far as lead goes. they have amazing expansion and knock down power with 40 yard max. I also use PBA Raptors and Armors. The PBA's are louder but they give me a super increase in power and distance plus they add about 20 more yards with no decrease of performance. All in all this gun is one heck of a varmint rifle. I just wish I would of got the nitro-piston upgrade but it's still great without it just not as good on cold hunts. All in all a great rifle to sharpen your shooting/hunting skills. If you do a lot of shooting like I do make sure you get the Gamo cleaning kit with the built in rest cause the lead does dirty the barrel to the point of needing to be cleaned after about 75-100 shots. With PBA ammo it doesn't need to be cleaned as often. I highly recommend this gun for adults not kids unless your with them.

Sweet Deal

I bought this air rifle in store, by suggestion of a sales associate. My requirements were: sub-200$, .177 caliber, break barrel. It met all those, and after inspecting it, I was sold. Took it home, and set it up right away. Instructions are easy to read, and the scope set up doesn't really require the instructions if you know what you're doing. On the subject of the scope, it has a good feel, and certainly works well for the application. If you prefer a nicer set of glass, then invest in one and save time.
So, today I tested it out for the first time. I was using Gamo Lead hollow points(.177), and shot out to about 25yds. After about ten minutes of refinement of the reticle, the scope was ready, and the feel of the gun secure. It has a good, solid weight to it, and doesn't feel cheap. Trigger pull is moderate, break barrel action medium, and ease of loading simple. It isn't by any means quiet, sounding quite like a .22, but it's certainly not deafening. You won't have a second chance to hit your target, unless it happens to be deaf. I shot about 50 rounds so far, and I dig what I'm using.
Overall, very pleased with the product. I'll be trying the included PBA ammo sooner than later, but for now the lead hollow points do me well.
Happy shooting.

Nice gun

Pellet gun works great with plenty of power. This is the first single shot pellet gun that I have owned and the drawbacks are minimal. The scope could be a little higher quality for the price of the package, but over all a good gun for getting squirells off the bird feeders.

Sending 2nd gun back

I am sending the 2nd gun back. Neither will hold a pattern even at 10 yards! Sick of dealing with poor quality!
