Keep those fingers warm

Cabelas' MPG mitts are among the best from a warmth standpoint. They are constructed with glove fingers inside, so each finger gets some insulation all the way around. I thought this was a problem because it's hard at first to push my hands into the mitts with these tubes. However the mitts do break in over about a week of use. When breaking in, it's handy to put on polyethylene food handling gloves (only last one use) or silk glove liners to slip your sweaty hands in. I keep using the silks for a little slip and for some coverage when I have to take the mitt off to handle some tools. The Gore-Tex shell is about as good as it gets for releasing moisture.

Good Deal

I didn't read the full product description originally and was surprised by the individual finger slots for the glove fit. Since they were such a good price for high quality gortex and leather mits I decided to keep them and try them out. They worked great for hours outside in wet conditions. They are very warm and stayed completely dry. I didn't have any wind infiltration while four wheeling.

Best Mittens I have ever owned

They are long, warm, well ,made and keep you DRY. I was prepared for the "finger slots" ...but not prepared for how much I would like them. They keep you so warm...nothing wrong with these at all. Buy em...much warmer than gloves...

Not what I expected

I bought these for snowmobiling, at fast speeds the air comes through the back of the gloves. I ordered x-large gloves and they were a tight fit.
