Cabela's Gore-Tex Trekker Ii Gloves Reviews:

Positive Reviews:

I generally wear an unlined deerskin glove for "normal" winter weather temperatures....driving, putzing around outside, etc. When we get a cold snap (temps getting a little cool, 10deg on down, etc), I need a warmer glove.
In the past, for VERY cold temps, I've had to put on down-filled mittens to keep my fingers warm, or at least keep them from getting numb! I have never found a glove for COLD temps that I could wear outside for more than 15 mins without freezing!
Last Spring I was browsing through Cabela's bargain cave and came across these Trekker IIs. I did a very close inspection to try to find out WHY they were in the 'cave' for close-out....found NOTHING wrong with them! I usually wear a medium in most gloves, sometimes a large. These were large, so I tried them on....PERFECT FIT! I grabbed them and kept them close so nobody else would get them from me!...LOL.
I finally had the need for them recently when the temps dropped to -15....I grabbed them, got in the cold truck, and took off. HOLY COW!!....for the first time ever, I have gloves that keep my entire hand warm! Not just my hands, but all fingers and thumbs as well! In the past I always had to wear a lined mitten to get this level of warmth.
Now that I know they are still available and not a discontinued product, I'm thinking of ordering another pair to have if/when these go bad! I am even willing to buy them NOT from the bargain cave!
I can't testify to their waterproofness, but my experiences with Gore-tex leads me to expect my hands to stay dry...and not sweat, either.
Ok, after that long short story, I'll end this with an unqualified 5-star rating....if there were 10 stars I'd give them 10!

Great work gloves

Ordered the extra large gloves and they were a bit tight.
Had a previous pair that stretched out and fit well.
Used them all day in 25 degree weather and my hand stayed warm and dry. Good choice.

Run Small

Glove size runs small.. order a size larger.. other than that gloves look and perform well.

Trekker Gloves

Gloves are well made and Goretex, so a good value. They are sized very small, the XL did not fit my husband. My brother wears a Medium, and I purchased Large for him and they fit nicely.
