Cabela's Harness Boots Reviews:

Positive Reviews:

Love these boots!

Great value for a very nice pair of boots. I own 3 pairs of Frye harness boots in different shades of gray and brown, which I definitely love. However, I am taking a trip to Australia and New Zealand later this year and wanted to have a nice pair of black harness boots to hit the trails and for lots of walking in different kinds of conditions (sand, mud, etc). With as much as I have invested in my Frye's, it is not an option to take them. I saw this pair and was very pleased with their appearance. I just got them in the mail and can't be more pleased. They are beautiful! They are not as 'distressed' as the Frye's (I prefer the distressed look), but I'm sure over time they will wear in nicely. As for sizing, I agree with a previous reviewer - they fit true to size and 1/2 size large. I usually wear a 7.5 in tennis shoes and dress shoes and typically a 7 or 7.5 in boots. I took a guess and went with the 7 (I prefer to wear thin socks and can't stand when boots 'slip' on the heels) - they fit like a glove. I did have a couple of spots that rubbed on my toes (probably because I went down in size), but I put a coat of mink oil all over the boots, slipped them on my feet, blasted them with my blow dryer and then let them cool down while I walked around the house. After they cooled, I wiped off the mink oil and my boots now fit like a glove - custom made for my feet. While my Frye harness boots are gorgeous and comfortable, honestly these are a very close second - I would say they are just as comfortable but not as 'pretty' as the Frye's - of course this is a personal preference. For the price difference though, you can't beat the Cabelas pair - you could buy 2.5 pairs of these for what I paid for each of my pair of Frye's.

Hot Looking Boots!

I really wanted a pair of brown distressed boots. Originally I wanted the shorter version of these but since they were out of stock in my size i went for these. They are beautiful. I have only worn them a couple of times and the distressing they are already showing is just what I hoped for. They are a little on the big size, mostly in the heel. This does make for a very easy on/off though. I could also be wearing them with thicker socks which I am sure would help with the slippage. I am sure I will get tons of wear from these.

I Love Love Love My Boots!

I get compliments all the time on these boots. I bought the clogs version first in brown. They were so comfortable, I had to try the boots. Excellant value and style for the price. They don't make me too tall. I would consider purchasing a pair in brown if available.

Negative Reviews:

So sad they fell apart

I have wanted these boots for over 2 years. Finally made room in my closet and got a pair. I got complements constantly and I loved these boots. After a month of wearing them (not everyday by the way) I noticed the sole was starting to separate from the boot. Another week later and the front half of the sole on one boot has completely detached. Going back to the store...
