Solid Buy

If your looking to down size, this 6' x 6' hub shelter works great. Its easy to set up even in the wind. If you watch the video that is recommended, it is very helpful and informational. I first set it up inside two or three times to make sure I was familiar with everything. The first time I set it up on the ice it was windy 20-25mph. By simply anchoring to the windward side with one anchor rope it went up slick. This will be the second season that I will use the hub shelter and can't wait to hit the ice.

Ice Hub 6x6

I've used this for one season so far and it has worked well. I restitched the carry hand on the bag with heavier thread because I had heard from a couple people that theirs had torn or loosened some and it has been fine so far. Sets up fairly easy and collapses quick, plenty of room inside for 2 guys and could probably get 3 as long as you didn't have a lot of gear inside.

Decent Hub for a starter fisherman.

I purchased this Hub style shelter from the Bargain Cave two weeks ago. The Cabela's employee working that day was nice enough to show me how to set it up and told me the do's and don'ts for Hub style shelters. First time on the ice this thing was awesome! set up really easy with no wind, all the zippers worked great, and we were easily able to close them with no problem. Second time on the ice under 10 to 15 MPH winds, shelter was still pretty simple to set up. once we anchored the hub down on the side the wind was blowing all was good. Then the temperature dropped to below zero, and we had a bit of a trouble with the zippers. The zipper on the first door actually split right down the middle so that we couldn't get it to open up, then the second one completely ripped off the shelter. We were able to fix the zipper where the teeth came apart later that night when we set it up in the garage, but the ripped side will have to have a completely new zipper installed. The only other issue I saw with it is that the fabric is light weight, so it will not stay very warm when the temperature drops below 10 degrees. All and all I am please with this shelter, I have not tried to see if Cabela's will allow me to return due to the zipper issues, I will repost once I find out.
