Cabela's Kryptek Koldo Blockade Rain Pants Reviews:

Best Cabelas Has To Offer

I spent 2 hours at Cabelas trying on every outershell outfit they had in stock. The Kryoptek is by far the best. The one I bought was actually called: Koldo (Gen 2) Rain pant, in Highlander camo pattern. I know this stuff is expensive, but I do think for the most part you get what you pay for. And with most of what's out there, you're paying for the Goretex name and not something that fits or functions the way it should. The sealed seams, w/p zippers, full length leg zips & built in adjustable belt are worth the price. They claim that these are not breathable and that's exactly what I wanted. To me, anything that lets air out will let air in. These are very similar to Sitka, but I can't stand the Optifade Forest. The major difference between the two is the fabric. The Kryptek is very smooth, soft and fairly silent. The Highlander camo pattern is way better than Realtree - and I have used that pattern for over 20 yrs. I think for any treestand hunter you will blend in better with trees & a sky background. I plan to change over all of my gear with the Kryptek line.

Best Rain Gear

Best rain gear system on the market hands down. Quiet, Durable, Great ventilation w/ built in pit and leg zips, pockets wear needed & the perfect amount of adjustment in the cuffs, hood & waist. I spent multiple days in the rain during archery elk season including 1 12hour day in a down pour and this rain system exceeded my expectations by keeping me dry all day. I can't wait to use it for the rest of the season. I would highly recommend the Koldo rain system!!! On a side note the new Highlander pattern is one of the best out there. The pictures on here don't even come close to doing it justice. Highly effective in any hunting environment especially the elk I tested it in during the season.

Great Rain Gear

I bought these pants for a 7 day backpack elk hunting trip. One day it rained for two hours and I was dry. Pants are lightweight and made very well.
