Cabela's L-Tech Saltwater Fly Rods -
Among the lightest and most powerful fly rods on the market at prices no competitor can touch. Each blank is precision-crafted of a proprietary blend of IM6, IM7 and IM8 graphite for the ideal balance of line-zipping fast action and lightweight strength. The exposed-blank reel seat is constructed of high-grade machined aluminum with a bronze finish. The threaded barrel section encloses the butt end of the blank to eliminate the extra weight of a middle insert and to ensure a secure bond with the blank. An up-locking Delrin® ring ensures the locking nut snugs the reel securely in place. It flawlessly transfers energy between the backcast and forward cast, accurately propelling line to your target. Corrosion-resistant nickel-titanium-alloy REC Recoil stripper guides are 50% lighter than traditional guides and always return to their original shape. The remaining double-foot snake guides and tip top are constructed of titanium carbide. L-Tech Salt models come equipped with corrosion-resistant components and are available in weights and actions to best match the demands of saltwater fly fishing. 25-year limited warranty.

Cabela's L-Tech Saltwater Fly Rods Review:

Awesome rod

I now have 3 l techs. A 4 wt for trout. Got an 8 weight regular l tech and even though I rinsed thoroughly I occasionally notice some corrosion on the guides but can wipe it off so no big deal. So when the saltwater l tech came out I had to get it. Especially at this price. Shoots line really well especially if you over line it by 1 weight. The blue saltwater version looks beautiful. I fish with a lot of guys with the expensive sage rods and what not and they always admire it and ask what kind of rod I have. A few times I've cast their rods but I much prefer the l tech. The sages feel so heavy after you handle one of these. If you're even considering one you won't be disappointed
