Cabela's Leafy-Wear Pro Ii Scent-Lok Hood Reviews:
Camo hood, a must
A doe walked by my blind at approximately 20 yards, stopped, stared at me and ran off. I was not wearing my camo hood. The next day I put on the hood and went back to my blind. Another doe walked by my blind at about 15-20 yards. Stopped, looked directly at me for a few seconds and started grazing. After a few minutes she walked on. The hood is a must for deer hunters. The deer really can't see you. I highly reccommend this product.. Steve, NY
I've just received my Cabela's Leafy wear hood today .The hood look's really nice. Light weight ! There's only 2 faults I can think of. One " a little " tight. And second a person gets a little warm with your breath bouncing back at you. But you know this might be helpful in the early spring in the mountains of California. I'll see. Great price for the construction and material of this hood.
Hoods I've bought previously fit much better and had draw-strings which help to keep them in place. This hood slips down over the eyebrows blocking part of one's view and is generally bothersome. The camouflage (as in all Leafy-wear) doesn't even come close to the autumn and winter coloration of the New England woods where I hunt. Our deer season is in the late fall when the woods and ground are brown, not grey and green with only a small percentage of browns as in Leafy-wear suites. Hopefully the colorblind deer and coyotes aren't as discerning as I am, but I'd feel a whole lot less conspicuous if the Leafy-wear were more of a match to the fallen oak and maple leaves of the northern woods.
