We’ve taken our all-around most versatile fly rod series, the LST, and made it even better. Improvements include greater durability and a smoother action, thanks to the integration of a proprietary multidirectional graphite matrix. Fish these Line Speed Improved (LSi) rods and you’ll enjoy greater core strength to absorb the fight right out of aggressive fish. The modified design further enhances the versatility and value that made the originals popular. Built on a high-modulus blank platform, the rods live up to their Line Speed lineage with lightweight fast actions ready to precisely zip line to all targets, near and far. Alignment dots for easy assembly. AAA-grade cork handles. Lightweight aluminum reel seats. Each rod includes a rod tube and rod sock. 25-year limited warranty.
Engineered exclusively for Cabela’s by Waterworks-Lamson, the WLx series earns its elite position by exhibiting the same exacting machined tolerances, lightweight design and reliability Lamson has built a reputation on delivering. Clad in a two-toned, nonglare anodized finish, the 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum is fully CNC machined and matched with stainless steel components to blend superior light weight with rugged strength. Solid machined spool further increases overall strength-to-weight ratio. Aggressive large-arbor ratios promote maximum line pickup speed and minimum line coil memory. The proven-reliable sealed drag consists of stacked, smooth-braking Rulon® discs with a two-stage compression drag spring that accommodates a wide range of drag pressures. Ball-bearing drag knob with detents ensures positive, smooth drag selection. Large knurled drag knob for ease of adjustment in wet conditions. Easy tool-less conversion from left- to right-hand retrieve. 25-year limited warranty.

Cabela's Lsi Fly Rod/Wlx Reel Combos Reviews:

5wt, 9' 4 piece LSi with WLx 5.6 - very nice combo

I purchased this combo about a month ago and have used it about 4 times since. This is the fastest rod that I own. My other rods are a 6'6" Echo 3 wt with a Cabelas RLS reel, a Cabelas Stowaway 7 with RLS reel (really nice rod and reel combo) and a 6wt, 9' Stowaway 7 that I use with a second spool with the WLx. I'm very happy with this rod/reel. The largest trout I've caught with it are just over 1#, so I can't comment on how it will handle a 6# anything. The rod has nice balance and feels great in all aspects - casting, with a fish on, and just plain holding it. The reel is well made, has a nice finish with the anodization and is smooth mechanically. It does what it does nicely. The rod comes with a solid Cordura covered storage tube and the reel with a hook and pile closure neoprene protector.

Great Rod, Slick Reel, Great Service

Wanted a new fly rod,and went in looking for a TFO outfit, and found this one to have a bit more forgiveness & power. I can get line out pretty easy, its super light, and I dont get any fatigue. I spent a couple days catching browns and bows in Tahoe, and it made every fish sooo much fun to land. From 8" little guys to a couple 13"+. I did have an issue with a split in the floating line after day 2 (might be user error) that I got with it, but I called them, they looked up the order, and sent a new one today, no questions asked! GREAT customer service, that's why I try and always buy at Cabelas!
