Cabela's Lsi Fly Rods -
We’ve taken our all-around most versatile fly-rod series, the LST, and made it even better. Improvements include greater durability and a smoother action, thanks to the integration of a proprietary multidirectional graphite matrix. Fish these Line Speed Improved (LSi) rods and you’ll enjoy greater core strength to absorb the fight right out of aggressive fish. The modified design further enhances the versatility and value that made the originals popular. Built on a high-modulus blank platform, the rods live up to their Line Speed lineage with lightweight fast actions ready to precisely zip line to all targets, near and far. Alignment dots for easy assembly. AAA-grade cork handles. Lightweight aluminum reel seats. Each rod includes a rod tube and rod sock.

Cabela's Lsi Fly Rods Reviews:

All you need for trout.

I think these LSi rods stack up fine with the big name brands at 1/2 the price. They may not be as light or quite as crisp, but they are close enough to not even think about while you're fishing. An additional benefit is the extra length these come in. The 9'9" 5wt I bought is great for float tubing, wading in deep water or if you are casting with a lake bank behind you. Buy these rods and save your money for a fishing trip!

My Favorite Fly Rod

I have the 3wt, 8'3" fast action rod paired with the Cabela's #1 RLS reel, what a great combination. This is my go to rod on most of the rivers I fish. If your looking for a lighter fun rod I highly suggest it. It works great for winter nymph fishing. The fast action has no issues getting the long heavy nymph set up out to where I need it.

I should have bought one sooner

I've been reading the reviews on the LSi series for awhile now. My wife bought me the 8' 6" 5 wt for Xmas. It is an excellent rod. Fast, accurate, lively enough to make smaller trout enjoyable and yet it has enough backbone that it easily brought a fat 21" trout to the net.
