Cabela's Metallic Walleye Spinners Reviews:

Positive Reviews:

Great value

I've been using these spinner rigs in the St. Louis River with great success. I have yet to break the line used for the rig despite multiple large walleye caught, northern, and an occasional snag. The plastic clevis is the only con that I've noticed but they seem to be holding up for now. The long length of line provided for the rig makes it a perfect fit when using heavy bottom bouncers on river bottoms.

Negative Reviews:

Average Walleye Rig

Positives: These things definitely catch fish! The spinner functions well. Negatives: One, the plastic clasp seems to be a way of cutting costs, but these things are still too expensive for what you're getting. If you don't believe me, just look elsewhere for an inexpensive walleye-rig option, like your local tackle store. Second, they come wrapped up in small plastic bags and they sometimes tangle before you can even use them. It's easy to get yourself hooked trying to untangle these.

Plastic blade clevis

Purchased premade spinner rigs with plastic clevises. When rig got caught in rocks the clevis broke losing blade. Didn't have that problem with metal clevis rigs. Won't purchase any more plastic clevises or rigs with same.

Plastic clevis

Spinners are held on with plastic clevises that tend to break. Will not buy these again. Even when we hit a snag the only thing that we lost was the spinner due to the plastic clevis.
