It is a coat of need

I bought this coat and bib for extreme cold hunting in Saskatchawan. It is exactly what I needed for the extreme cold sitting all day on post. I am not one to de-layer it so it works great. The system was very warm when hunting to -20 F. I will add however this coat was not designed for as a stalking coat, in my opinion it is to heavy and bulky. It is a little expensive but worth the cost, there isn't a better product on the market for cold weather stand hunting.

Very Warm

If your hunting in the extreme cold then this is the parka you need. It has plenty of pockets and i mean plenty!! It's heavy just like everyone else says also made with el cheapo zippers. Overall I am happy with the parka and it will keep me warm and dry!!

Would have put 3.5 stars if I could, because...

The product is very good quality and is indeed, very warm. I still have not tested it in a real downpour so I cannot attest to it's complete waterproofing, but in terms of warmth, manufacture quality and versatility, it's 5 stars.
But, like others have weighs A TON. Which makes it inconvenient if you need to stalk; in fact, I wouldn't use it for that. Which brings us to the fact that it's best use, when in full gear, is a tree stand or similar. However, we all know that the best warmth when not moving is achieved with premium down filling. So where do we put this parka? Seems to meet the old saying..."Jack of all trades, master of none".
Weight can be reduced by removing the inner lining...but this obviously removes much of the warmth.
One of the good uses I've found for it is extreme ATV trips, going up in the mountains in winter, up to 15.000 feet (I live in Argentina, so I mean the Andes mountains). Weight is not much of a problem if you have hp-traction. Bulk might be, if you have to carry stuff for several days up.
If you don't mind the weight and the bulkiness, this parka is warm, well manufactured, full of tiny details. It is good if you have a gamout of different outdoor activities, since it will adapt. If, however, you have a very specific use in mind (late-season deer stalking, for instance) you might want to look at a more specialized product. Hope it helps.
