They Work

They do exactly what they are supposed to do. I guess what makes these better in my mind than some other weights is one they have a nice big eye hole to put your decoy line through. This doesn't sound like much but i use paracord rather than fishing line and it is thicker and doesn't fit through some weights holes. 2 it doesn't break after repeated bending. A lot of weights will snap like a paper clip after being bent. These seem to hold up to that pretty well very malleable. Stay away from the mushroom weights that have the long stem to them. I had two of the eye holes pull through when I was rigging them right out of the box. I also have a few more break when I went to wrap them around the decoy keel.

Good but for how long

The weights work very well to hold goose decoys in place during high wind conditions. I use them on big foot Canada's decoys and well as final approach last pass canada decoys , which with a 25 mph sustained wind and gusts to 35mph I was pretty
Impressed I did not have to chase decoys. The only concern I have is that the weights are fairly long, longer than the keel, and has to be bent around the head or keel to be out of the way. The constant bending had already caused one weight to split and seperate after four times out, so I'm wondering how long it is before the rest do it. Guess I'll find out with time.

Crack & Break

First time using them they started to crack as I bent them around the keel. I wasn't doing a sharp bend just a "U" shape with 1" diameter and they cracked. Seeing this I know after about 3 uses (especially when in the cold) they will break in half. I have never had an issue with other brands which have lasted over 4 years.
I am returning them and using keel grabber weights from now on. Those have always been dependable.

Bad

Used 3 times on some new decoys and 2 cracked in half the last time out. Have used another brand for over over 4 years without one breaking.
