Very Comfortable & Warm

I have used this bag on several camping and hunting trips over the past few years. It is very comfortable. It is a little oversized which makes it just right for me. Fits on the outfitter XL cot perfectly. I am 6'3" - 230. I have stayed warmer in this bag than my buddies have in their synthetic bags with similar ratings. I have used the bag down to 20 oF. Below 30-35oF additional layers were needed.

Wanted to Like It

First off this bag is warm which is great. The inner material is flannel and it's soft. The exterior doesn't slide around on a sleeping pad and the zipper is sturdy and doesn't snag while zipping up/down. Unfortunately the compression wrap & straps are at the head of the bag which interferes with sleeping if you orient the zipper to the left. Also, the three straps are sewed to the fabric so you can't separate the compression wrap from the bag to avoid the interference. Two of the plastic clips have already came off the straps, I found one but the other is lost. Also, the exterior of the bag picks up a lot of lint and is hard to clean. I am returning it today after two uses as this bag does not deserve the Cabelas name attached to it. Not sure if Cabelas changed the design as there were mostly good reviews I relied on before purchasing. I would avoid this bag.

could be better

First of all this bag has wrong temperature rating. I would not recommend buy this sleeping bag if someone planning to stay below 40°F. When temperature drops below 30°F, even sleeping wearing outware not going to help fight cold. I tried myself. A zipper is heavy duty but sometimes it get hard to zip the bag. However, the most I like about this bag is fabric it made of, feels very soft from inside.

a good solid bag

my first use was just fine. I really liked the additional room and the way it rolls up. The closing flap with locks makes the bag easy to open and close. no hassles
