Field Tested

We were given the Cabelas HN-1213-2 style shoes in the fall of 2012. Both Travis and I were given a pair to test out, from Rob. Really liked the look and weight right away. Not too much camo and can be used year around.
My two children wear the same size as I do. Right away, I was missing my pair. Just to find them on one of kid’s feet. Luckily Rob sent my kids their own pair. Travis really likes his to run to town for supplies when it is cold and around the ranch. He does feel like it doesn’t give him enough ankle support, so doesn’t wear them if he is out climbing the rocks and such. Rob has given him the Meindle 5461-10 and he uses those. The Meindle are his absolute favorite!!!!
As for the kids and I, we wear our shoes all the time. We live in Central Wyoming. Our terrain goes from high desert to extreme rocks and wooded mountains. Our temperatures will reach to -40 below before wind chill with 70 MPH winds. We depend on our clothes and such to do our job. Year around these shoes are a perfect fit for whatever we have planned for the day. We have had them on to Trich test the bulls, preg check the cows, or ship the calves. Or just to do our daily chores. I have noticed that the mud does not hang onto the shoes. They clean up on their own and look great. And trust me we have tested that part out. The ease of the laces is a huge bonus for me. Easy to adjust as the day wears on whether you’re getting warm and can loosen them or are in calf high mud you can tighten them easily to keep them on. We spend a lot of time in the winter mountain lion hunting and all three of us will pick these shoes to go in. I stay warm and the weight is a huge bonus for me. I don’t feel like I’m having to trudge around in them, as is the case with big clumpy snow shoes. I recommend these shoes to anyone but be prepared because you will not just save these for hunting. You will find yourself picking these shoes for your everyday chores.

Great boots

I am a 65 y/o who has arthritis in my hands. I still like to hike, camp, and geocache. Tying shoes and boots are hard for me. These boots solve the problem for me and make my life easier. I have been looking all over for boots like these and thanks to my neighbor, I found them. I just wish you would make them in an insulated boot as well. I've worn them 3x since I got them. The fit is right and the comfort and grip is great. I walk almost everyday in the National Forest with my dogs. I would have given 4 1/2 stars but that wasn't an option. The reason I took off was no explanation on the lacing system but it didn't take long for me to figure it out. Good buy.

Love the Boa

I got these right after our first bird hunting trip in November so I've had them for awhile. So far I have worn them almost every day. They are very comfortable, warm, and super easy to put on and take off. I know the Boa system because of my wading boots and these have not disappointed at all. I love the Boa system because when we hunt, I know I don't need to worry about untying or retying my icy/thorny laces. They seem very durable so far and I highly recommend.

Awesome boots!

I purchased these boots in August 2013 and LOVE them! The no-lace technology is so quick and easy. No more tripping on the laces or catching one boot in the other's lace hooks while hunting. They are waterproof too and great for spring or fall hunting. My husband was so impressed he bought the identical men's pair for himself! I also like that this boot is super light-weight and not bulky. Really comfortable for walking in the woods. A+ all the way!
