Versatile, well constructed, worth the money

I got this pack for a recent AZ elk hunt. This was well worth the money. Though I only used the bag part on a single retrieve, the ample space and rifle carry system worked flawlessly to pack out two front shoulders. Even after 2+ miles and 1100 feet of decent, the pack was as comfortable as any I've used with 70 pounds riding on my back. A couple days later I used just the frame to carry a rear quarter on a trip, then the cape/trophy of a 5x6 non-typical bull on a second trip that day. Finally, the following day it was used to retrieve the second rear quarter. This pack was very comfortable and the compression pod securely held front and rear elk quarters as well as hide/head/antlers. Very versatile! Highly recommended!

Weight

I bought this pack 12 or so years ago. I have used it for hunting and for back country fishing trips. I have put 70+ pounds in it and for my size of 5'10" 175#'s I have done 10 miles in without being sore. the pack's empty weight is high but the comfort is worth it. I have lighter packs that I have used of less weight and be sore for days. One of my hunting buddies bought the "Just one pack" Eberlestock and he hate"s it hurts him to carry anything over 50#. so he also bought one of the cabelas packs. Pack and frame togeather a little heavy. Other than that we both love it. Oh and I stlii use it and have not had any issues with it.
