Excellent Product

I recently traveled to Alaska for a February Trap Line and Predator Hunt. This hunt was conducted on the Iditarod Trial about 150 miles north of Anchorage, AK. The wool parka performed flawlessly while we rode snow machines in sub-zero weather to check traps and call wolves. Only when traveling at high speeds on the snow machine and temps were 17 below zero did I feel the hint of cold inside my parka. I also used layers under the parka as anyone operating in those types of climates would do to provide the best protection agaainst the cold. Great Product!

Heavy for amount of warmth

I bought this jacket as I am a fan of wool. After wearing it once, I was quick to realize that its pretty heavy for the amount of warmth it provides. To offset the weight I tried to reduce my layering, and quickly felt the chill on my back. The design is good, and I liked the pockets/drawstring and liner but thats about the end of the compliments. The fabric is too heavy if you are stalking and not warm enough for a treestand or prolonged sitting in subfreezing temperatures. I returned it and Cabelas was great to give me a refund.
