Cabela's Pinnacle Boa Extreme 600-Gram Boots Reviews:

Soooo Happy!

Usually I like to wait a little longer before I write my reviews, but I'm very pleased with these boots. I've been agonizing about buying winter work boots for a few months (I'm rather particular) and after a few missed opportunities sucked it up and bought these (price was a big concern).
I'm a zookeeper so you can imagine what my work boots go through. My average work day consists of lots of wet, gross things coming in contact with my boots, lots of hosing, having to climb over fences, and some uneven terrain.
I've only worn these twice, but tried to put them through their paces. The highs on these days were the low 20s and low 30s. My feet get cold very easily, so one day I stuck some hand warmers in the toes, but honestly I don't think I needed them. There were also some icy walkways and I had no traction problems. I even made sure to spray these puppies down while I was hosing and no water got through whatsoever.
I've never worn "high" boots to work before, so I was a little hesitant about maneuverability. There were no major issues as I was climbing over fences or squatting to get through gates. And I LOVE the Boa lacing system. It makes it so easy to adjust on the fly and for quick changing at the end of the day.
Normally I wear about a 7. I have these in an 8.5 so I can layer a couple pairs of socks plus a hand warmer if needed and there is still some wiggle room (tight boots are terrible for cold feet).
So far, I'm very glad I bought these, well worth the price. They keep my feet (and pants) warm and dry and they're very comfortable.
My biggest concern is that they won't last long (I seem to go through boots pretty quickly). I'm hoping for at least two winters out of these.
I'll be sure to update if I have any problems.
