Great pair of hiking boots!

Well, I haven't gone hiking in them yet, but I bought these boots in preparation of an upcoming hike in September. I normally wear a size 8.5, but I was told in boots of these nature, to get a half size smaller, because they are cut big. So I got an 8. They are still a just a tiny bit big, but if you wear double the socks they are fine. I have flat feet and comfort comes first. :-) I've been wearing them around for the past few hours to "break them in" and so far, so good. Even with two pairs of socks, my feet are cool and dry. I'm usually hesitant in buying products that have no reviews written on them yet, but I'm glad that I made this purchase. I'll come back and post again, once I try them for my hike. By the way, the pictures of these boots are a bit deceiving. They look like they are black and blue, but they are really a charcoal and blue, and in some light, the suade parts look like a dark brown. I hope this helps. :-)

Nice Hiking/Work Boots

I read a review that said the boots run a little big, so I ordered size 8 when I normally wear 8 1/2. They fit just perfect. They are a little heavier than I thought but it's not too bad. The upper padded part (fits above the ankle) was a little higher than I thought too. But I can get used to that. I just need to wear higher socks. I would recommend the boots to friends.

Purchased these for our daughter to use Elk hunting. They were excellent. Not only did she hike several miles in them but waded through a stream several times and her feet stayed dry.
