Cabela's Privy Shelter Reviews:

Good product for the price

Used it at a moose hunting camp Oct. '12. Weather went from clear, warm and sunny to absolute blizzard with gale force winds.
Had the shelter set up in the trees away from main camp area, spiked it down to the ground.
One night the wind was so strong it literally ripped the spikes out of the ground and the entire shelter went for an aerial trip through the trees. When recovered it was still in the 'set up' position, although upside down, there was no damage incurred to it. Even the loops at the base for spiking it to the ground had survived.
Easy to set up, took less than 5 minutes the first time around.
It proved to be waterproof even after torrential downpours and covered in soggy snow.
Plenty of room for a bigger bulky guy in heavy clothing.
Although the material is thin, it is not "see thru", by any means, especially during the day. If lit inside at night, some shadows are visible, but certainly not in any detail.
For the money, it can't be beat, everyone in our camp, especially the ladies, agreed it was great.

Should have done this long ago...

I have owned one of these for perhaps 10 years now. Every hunting season it is up for at least two weeks, and the past few years over a month for muzzleloader and modern deer and elk seasons east of Chinook Pass. It goes up very easily, deals well with wind, rain, and snow, and keeps everything inside dry. I have built a couple of thrones for it, but it keeps looking like new. It might be the most successful and most important thing in camp!

nice shelter

We used this shelter for the first time this past weekend the 15th of nov. through the19th and it worked real well. I had only set it up once befor this past weekend and it went up pretty fast. It's like anything the more you use it the faster you can put it up. I't nice and light and it fold's up nice and small and only weighs like 15 pounds. It's a very good product for the money.
