Cabela's Promar Collapsible Floating Wire Baskets Reviews:

Big enough Basket

We looked all over for a basket big enough to hold our fish when fishing from the dock. Cabella's was the only store we found that carried this size. The price was fair and the shipping quick. It has been used for about 4 weeks and there have been no problems. The springs on the top and bottom keep the flaps closed firmly. There is no rusting from the coated wire. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to keep fish alive until ready to clean them. A word of warning...it gets very heavy after about 20 Crappie. Have had up to 50 in it and my husband had to lift it out of the water and carry it to the fish cleaning station. Smiling all the way!

Works as advertised!

Works just fine for keeping fish alive while fishing from a boat or dock provided it is tied off snugly. Bass over 2 1/2 lbs. can be difficult to get in to the basket due to the size of the opening. A larger opening would make it a 5-star item.

Floatable and large-size

I used it on my boat for crappies. It is big to keep Crappie alive and active. It can then attract more fish as a shield. It is floatable. I use only floatable gears on my boat.

Negative Reviews:

Very thin gauge

I'm a huge Cabelas fan & customer, but this does not meet your quality standards. I use these baskets at my dock to transfer small harvested fish from livewell to cleaning station, that's all. Yet the wire mesh is very flimsy, thin, weak gauge that rusts quickly. I've had my second one just 30 days & it's already started to rust.
Sorry, but it's the last one I'll ever get by Promar.
