Cabela's Realimage Hds Forked-Tail Baitfish -
A wide shad profile, HDS color technology and amazing swimming action mimic baitfish with uncanny realism. It’s a slow-sinking lure that descends to submerged structures where big fish lurk. Weighted to run at 1-3 ft. on the retrieve and encourage hard-hitting strikes from below. Each of these lures features Cabela’s innovative High-Definition Series (HDS) technology that delivers unsurpassed realism. A special printing process transfers an actual image of a live baitfish onto the lure, resulting in color and detail only a real fish can match. Teamed with a natural swimming action, HDS creates appeal the big ones can’t resist. Rigged with quality Matzuo® hooks. Per each.

Another great Cabelas Product

These are not only well made but have so many pattern 'color' options that your bound to find one that works in your area. Some of these work better in rivers (the goldfish is definitely one of those) while others work well in lakes or ponds whether cloudy or clear. That is the beauty of choices and Cabelas has outdone themselves again this time. Those of these ive tried with a shiny or gold tint seemed to work well in our area both in streams and clear lakes. I didnt really like the northern pike print but one of my other favorites was the pumpkinseed. Between my partner and myself weve caught the following on a few different patterns: goldeye, flathead catfish, largemouth bass, saugeye, gar, and bowfin. They are fun to use, even for the person inexperianced with artificial bait, and interesting to watch in the water by a boat or dock when retrieved because they look so realastic.

Extremely Realistic

This Lure is the embodiment of my tackle box, I really like thee realistic swimming motion and the HD coloring that details it. I also like this lure for it's ability to catch lunkers. Not just fish but lunkers and the way it weeds out the big uns from the little guys gives it primary spot in my bass box. The price is also really attractive, only downfall is the fragility of the fins ion the back and paint may chip but great value for the money.

HDS Forked-Tail Baitfish

Purchased several to try when they went on sale. Nice product with a good finish. Others mention that cast and retrieve is the only option for this bait and I agree. Great action once you achieve the proper retrieve speed. Certainly a better price point than other swimbaits of this type. These will probably work as a shallow trolling bait as well.
