Travel pole

I purchased this travel combo because I travel to Costa Rica and Hawaii enough to justify it. I wanted a rig that could handle some decent size fish and was stout enough for shore fishing. This pole will fit diagonally inside an international size suitcase, however, it will not fit if you leave the pole in the tube. I just got back yesterday from 9 days in Kona and was pleased with how the pole performed, especially for the money. I wish the reel was a little lighter, but it is ok. You can't get spare spools for this reel which for me was a drawback.

Nice unit!

Nice rod and real for traveling. Took it on my trip to Florida and it worked great and had no issues or dislikes. Didn't catch any big fish though, that is the only complaint!!!

Reel is great but pole feels weak for medium pole

The reel is a great value. The pole on the other hand feels weak even when reeling in small bass. Bought it to take to Alaska but I am worried that pole might not be able to handle 5lb and up fish. Nice storage case comes with pole but a bit too long to fit in duffel bag.
