Best bang for the buck!
The rod is very strong, yet it still retains some sensitivity at the tip to feel light nudges and bites. The reel is pretty smooth and works well with all of the braided line I have used (Spiderwire Stealth 30-50lb). The bait alert is awesome on this reel, too. Overall, I don't think you can get a better deal on a catfishing setup as I could probably use this for Pike in MN and small sharks in FL. There may be better rods, there may be better reels but you are going to pay more than 3x.

Used this combo today for the first time. Loved it!!!!! Caught 4 Shovelnose Sturgeon and a 1/2 pound flathead catfish. Baitfeeder option is awesome!!! I will buy another combo soon!

You Dont Get a Manual for the Reel
Received my rod and reel combo #123004 today and was pretty happy with its' look and feel until I discovered I didn't get a manual for the Reel #SSBF-65B. I went online to Chat and question where the manual was and was told they don't have manuals for many of their Private Labels. WHY DONT YOU LIST THAT IN THE DESCRIPTION THEN. I was somewhere on their site and it said they checked every box for manual. Anyway, you wont get one. Bad way to start with new customer.
