Excellent product

I purchased the 14 cup model, and am very pleased with it. I used it for a four day camping trip starting the day after I received it, and it made excellent coffee that was enjoyed by everyone that tried it. With nearly 50 people in my group, I could have used a larger model, so that may be a future purchase. The 14 cup model was easy to set up and made coffee fairly quickly. The quality of the coffee pot was excellent, and the pieces fit together perfectly. I would definitely suggest this coffee pot for use over a campstove or campfire, but it is not recommended for induction cooktops because it doesn't provide enough contact area.

Best Coffee Pot EVER!

Bought this about 4 years ago when we were in Maine camping. LOVE it! Love when your coffee is really hot. Mine came with the plastic glass perk cap - that was the only thing I was not crazy about and now see they have it in glass - HOWEVER, I have used this a ton of times on cook stoves and campfires and that plastic perk top still looks like the day I got it, actually the whole thing looks like the day I got it - cleans up great! I have no doubt this is something my kids and their kids will be using long after I am gone!

Worth every penny

I'm cheap, so the idea of buying a coffee pot for this much was hard to stomach. After a year of use I can highly recommend it. Makes a great cup of coffee. Use it almost everyday on the stove. Takes longer than a regular pot but I like the flavor. I have beaten this pot up pretty good hunting and camping and its holding up even when I directly place it on the coals. I can say that if you pull the trigger on this one you won't be disappointed.

Negative Reviews:

glass knob not heat proof

I have used this pot inside on a gas stove for almost a year. Apparently the glass knob at the top can't take the heat of the coffee percolating. It's now broken twice. Also if you don't make sure the basket and top are exactly in place, it can take up to an hour to percolate. This was a gift from my husband, so I really wanted to keep it. But at this point, with glass coming into the pot, I'm returning it.
