Cabela's Stand Hunter Extreme Parka Tall -
Why is it that the biggest bucks tend to grow up where it is cold and harsh? Because no one can sit out all day in the cold to hunt them, that's why. Thinking about going up to Saskatchewan after a massive trophy whitetail? Or maybe you're planning a late-season hunt? You're going to want our Stand Hunter Extreme Series of hunting outerwear. No, you're going to need it. Engineered for extreme cold, the parka is made of Cabela's Q-Tec Fabric, which is extremely quiet yet exceptionally warm. Thinsulate™ Supreme Insulation offers a unique blend of warmth and reduced bulk. By varying the weights of the insulation, we created warm-weather outerwear that works with you to keep you warm and mobile. With a well-insulated core, adding extra insulation throughout the sleeves would just add extra bulk. Therefore, we used 150-gram Thinsulate Supreme Insulation to cut down the size and add extra mobility. On top of that, we put in articulated elbows and a low-bulk cuff design. When the torso is insulated, there is greater flow of warm blood to your outer extremities, such as your fingers or toes. Wrapping your body in 200-gram insulation will keep you warm from head to toe. Your core temperature is largely controlled by the spinal column. That's why we've put 300-gram Thinsulate Supreme down the spine and through the kidneys. Storage options include two chest handwarmer pockets, two lower zip-closure cargo pockets, two interior hoop-and-loop-closure storage pockets, as well as an interior zip-closure security pocket. Under-arm zippers and a two-way front closure zipper allow for venting when walking to and from the stand. Front storm flap, wind-skirt and integrated hand-warmer muff provide optimal warmth. Removable handwarmer muff is fleece lined and insulated with 150-gram Thinsulate Supreme and stores in it's own pocket in the back of the parka. Three-piece adjustable, removable hood features 100- gram Thinsulate Supreme. All zippers feature large rubberized pulls for ease of use with gloved hands. Imported.
Tall sizes: M-3XL. Extra 2" body and 1-1/2" sleeve length.

Cabela's Stand Hunter Extreme Parka Tall Reviews:

best hunting jacket

This is the warmest hunting jacket I own. It keeps me warm sitting all day in my deer stand, even when the temps are below freezing. The shell is quiet and sheds rain and snow very well. Large pockets for storage and the hand warmer pockets are well postioned. I used the hand warmer muff to sit on for added cushion on cold and wet ground. The large zippers worked well and were easy to use with gloves on. I liked the two way front zipper and under arm side zippers for ventilation when it got warmer. The hood kept my head warm and dry while wearing a ball cap. The camo patern blends in well in different types of terrain. I wish I had this jacket years ago. This rugged jacket should last for many years and is well worth the price.

LIke wearing a sleeping bag

This parka is very comfortable, quiet, and warm. The material blend is somewhat water resistant. The design of the cuffs and hood are very good. The chest pockets are ok. However I would rated 5 stars instead of 4 if the front pockets had slash rear entry hand pockets. When stand hunting I do not always keep my hands at chest level, sometimes it is more comfortable to slide my hands into the front pockets from the pant pocket area.
The jacket is a little heavy but expected.

Best hunting camo I own

I bought the parka and the bibs is by far the best camo I own; its comfortable, quiet, and extremely warm. I've been hunting at 0 degrees Farenheight with the wind blowing and I wasn't even close to being cold. The bulkiness isn't a problem and i can function just fine. I wouldn't trade it for any other camo. My brother bought the same thing and is very plased with the product. Thankyou Cabela's for another great product.
