Good Car Camp Pad

I have an older, 5 years or so, model. Most of the use came during college on Fraternity camping trips. Since it was car camping I would double up a .5" closed cell foam pad underneath for more protection. After not being used for a few years and being rolled up and stored for that time frame it took the foam overnight to fully recover, but with a little air blown into it, it performed great like before. The repair kit is great, last trip I had a small hole where the material comes together on the valve of all places. Fixed it and used it the next 2 nights with NO problems at all. It will roll up great into the provided bag, but it is on the big side to use for backpacking. It would work just fine attached to the outside of your pack as it is pretty light. Rolled up it is 25" x approx. 5", so pretty standard for self inflating without being a super-light minimalist pad. I'm sure with enough effort you could probably fold it in half and roll it up to fit inside your pack. For the price and performance vs. other brands it is hard to beat.
I've used it down to the 30s here is Southern California and don't recall any issues with the cold or cold spots.

An excellent solution for wide cots.

Fits the wide Cabelas cot very nicely. Easy to set up (self inflating) and easy to roll back up and put away. Comes with a nice storage bag.

Just too big

I didn't expect them to be so big. These aren't good for backpacking, but would be fine if you are just camping. They are light weight, but don't role up as small as other types of pads.
