Nice little pack

If all you want is a pack to carry a few extra items on a short day hike or trip into town, then this pack will do. Has enough room to carry a couple of extra layers, binocs, light, maps, or whatever you need. The outer flap pocket is handy if you want to quickly stow an item, just tighten the straps and it is secure. The outer mesh pockets are small, about the biggest bottle they will hold is something like a twenty ounce gatorade bottle. Maybe they've upped the quality control of this pack, as it's been used on several day hikes fully loaded, and all the straps and buckles still function ok with no apparent ripping or unraveling.

great for the price

For what they are selling them for they are a steal. Got one for my 8 year old because he wants to be a Dooms Day Prepper. He loves it uses it constantly and it takes the beatings. Granted it's not as quality as a Camelbak but it does the job for less.

Not Recommended

I thought this looked like a nice pack for day hikes, and the design is good. The problem is, it's very shoddily constructed. I had to look at 5 or 6 packs in the store each time to find one with good stitching and working parts (zippers, buckles etc) That should have been my first clue. The first one I got home only to discover that the bladder leaked. Exchanged it for another one, this one last less than 3 weeks before the waist belt began to fray and pull away from it's insertion point, to the point it was near snapping. Very disappointing. I wouldn't recommend these to anyone.

Cheap

I was excited to find a day pack to use on day hikes, or just with my small kids around town. I like the size, pockets, and the small amount of extra support with the plastic piece against my back. One of the pack straps ripped and broke on the first day, on the way to the airport. I have already returned it. Most of the packs on the rack had some sort of flaw. I should have known.
