Cabela's Suitcase Camp Kitchen Reviews:

Positive Reviews:

Decently sturdy, happy with purchase

Bought this and just returned from our first trip with it. Quite adequate for car camping for 4 people. Not as much surface area as the more deluxe models but this is at a much lower price point. It was sturdy enough and adjustable enough for our trip to a state park. You always want more space but this model is a good balance between surface area and packability at a relatively low price. The materials, especially the table surface, are not designed to last forever but on the other hand the weight and size are OK and I expect to get my money's worth out of it over the years. My only quibble with this unit is both big and small. The entire unit including all hardware folds down into a nice complete package the size of a suitcase - except for one piece. The tube unit that supports the side table does not fit inside the case when packed up for travel or storage. On the one hand this is a small thing; just keep that other piece with it, no big deal. On the other hand, it is a piece separate from everything else that you must remember to bring and find a safe place for. With the nice engineering that went into this unit, I wish they could have made a way to have it all in one package so that if you have that suitcase, you know you have everything. Even if that meant a slightly larger and slightly more expensive unit, that would have been a good design trade-off in my opinion. Aside from that small (or big) complaint, I am satisfied with this unit.

Suitcase Camp Kitchen Rocks

I have used the suitcase kitchen twice in the past month and it was great during the camping trips. It holds my two burner propane range with stove. There is room to prepare the food on the counter top and store pots, food, etc. in the "cabinet" below. When assembled properly I found it to be stable.

Camp Kitchen

I purchased this unit as part my bug-out equipment. While I haven't had a need to use it, I have set it up and taken it down and am impressed with it's simplicity, sturdiness and the amount work surface space. It is also surprisingly compact when packed up.

Negative Reviews:

disapointed

Our first camp trip out this year, made this purchase, looked forward to using it..VERY wobbly, seriously ended up with a pinch finger that instantly bruised...very painful - so beware when you fold up the legs or open it.
I purchased the larger unit for family and I hope they will be happier with theirs, I will be returning mine for a full refund.....Directions were only photos, not written. Beware!
