Cabela's Telescopic Panfish Poles -
Designed specifically as the ultimate panfish rod, these ultracompact telescopic poles provide superior portability, yet are extremely sensitive and versatile. The lightweight, high-modulus graphite blank is incredibly sensitive and will detect the slightest bites, and still will have enough strength to land the hardest fighters. A single chrome tip top makes it easy for you to tie on any size or length line you choose (although, we have found the rods perform best when you match the length of your line to the length of the rod). Includes a convenient carrying case.

Cabela's Telescopic Panfish Poles Reviews:

Great product, terrible packaging

I have been buying Cabela's panfish poles for many years. They are wonderful, though not as cheap as they once were. There is one problem, though. The packaging is extraordinarily wasteful and aggravating. First, each pole comes in a large and tough plastic container that is completely unnecessary. Everyone I know immediately throws it away. Moreover, it is very hard to open the container--often takes 5-10 minutes. By the end, I am invariably furious. Then, it comes wrapped in hard plastic with a paper label taped on, both of which are annoying and time-consuming to take off. It shouldn't take me 10 minutes to get my pole out of the packaging! And the amount of material that goes straight into the trashcan is appalling.

Pretty good at what they do

These are great in every respect — except the terminal segment is too fragile and prone to breakage (this is not a major problem, since the next segment can easily be converted into the terminal link) and the cap that supposedly seals the butt of the rod wears and falls out, causing the segments to fall out. This could easily be remedied by using a harder substance that would hold the thread (i.e., plastic instead of rubber).

Other than Fish

This is a great product, though i don't actually use it for fishes. However, the size is great for backpacking, and it does not have an issue with the way it slides out. made of good sturdy materials.

Very delicate, be careful

When you hold in your hand you feel a little twig. Already repaired, very delicate rod.
