Cabela's Three Forks/Ross Flystart Fly Combo -
Save money by combining a Three Forks rod and a pre-spooled Ross Fly Start reel.
For years, Cabela's Three Forks rods have been the choice for anglers seeking a quality fly rod at an affordable price. The components create a look and feel you'd expect from a rod costing three times as much. The 7'6" 3-weight and 8' 5-weight models feature a moderate action. All other rod models have a moderate/fast action that is great for beginners and experienced anglers alike. Cosmetics include appealing burnt-olive-colored blanks, dark cocobolo reel seats and double-foot snake guides. The 8- and 10-weight models feature aluminum reel seats and fighting butts.
Boasting a new, more durable finish, Flystart reels are a great option for anglers who demand quality, but do not want to spend a fortune gearing up to fish. You'll be amazed with Ross' legendary precision-machined quality; reliable drag performance; and the improved, extra-durable finish. Each Flystart reel is built around a Ross-designed offset disc-drag that will meet the expectations of even the most experienced angler. Pre-spooled outfits come with premium, American-made fly line, backing and a 9-ft. tapered leader – everything you need to get started.

Cabela's Three Forks/Ross Flystart Fly Combo Reviews:

Decent combo for the price

I got the 3 weight fly start combo a while back for bluegill and trout fishing on small streams. It works like a charm and easily protects light tippets used for trout (5-8X). The only negatives are: 1. The line included with the combo is pretty horrid -- perma-kink and not heavy enough. 2. The cork on the rod grip is kind of poor, little pieces have already came off. That said, it fishes great and the little ross reel is surprisingly smooth and has a good drag. For the price you can't complain much, just replace the line with some better quality stuff from the start.

Hi, I just unpacked this 7'6 3 wt .. feeling is amazing in hand, the rod looks solid and beautiful. reel the same, so small and solid frame. only bad news is that rod do not includes tube, only rod bag/pouch.
anyway it made me happy so much.. hope to get a dry fly action this weekend : )
only reason for 4 star, no tupe.
thanks cabelas
