Cabela's Tld Lever Drag/Cabela's Whuppin' Stick Salt Casting Combo -
Shimano’s lightweight graphite/aluminum TLD reels will outperform most larger, heavier reels. The reliable titanium lever drag lets you make precise adjustments while keeping your hand on the crank. Oversized gears provide excellent fighting efficiency, while four stainless steel AR-B™ ball bearings give it uncommonly smooth operation for a big water reel. TLD® 20 and 25 have harness lugs.
The Whuppin Stick Salt rods are built with all the same durability as the originals - plus the extras needed to handle the extreme saltwater enviroment. Each blank is crafted of a powerful, nearly indestructible, E-Glass and T-Glass blend for the backbone it takes to heft saltwater bruisers out of the depths. All are outfitted with graphite reel seats for extra sensitivity and soft EVA grips for a sure-handed grip. Rods use double-foot, super-hard, chrome-plated stainless steel frames and rings. All have a nylon gimbal butt with cap.

Cabela's Tld Lever Drag/Cabela's Whuppin' Stick Salt Casting Combo Review:

Loved First, Added 2 More!

I troll the Chesapeake Bay and Coastal waters for Stripers (Rockfish). I had received a Shimano TDL 25 as a gift. It was my first lever drag reel and I liked it so much after my first year’s use that I bought 2 more from Cabela’s this year. The Whuppin’ Stick rod is very good but in my opinion a little light for the TLD 25. I will get quite a bend just trolling when I use a Mojo and umbrella combination, but they have hauled in 41” Stripers on top of it without a problem!
