Cabela's Tournament Zx Bass Casting Rods

Bought the 71M (crankbait) version of this rod yesterday and have already made 400-500 casts with it and I am impressed. It is the lightest weight of the Tournament ZX series and in my opinion has the best all-around action. I've been using the Shimano Core 100Mg reel and with this rod it's a very lightweight setup. It has just enough flex to cast a light plastic worm extremely well and enough backbone to set weedless hooks like a bass jig with authority, despite it being rated as a crankbait rod, which I'm sure it does well at also. Have only used Power Pro 20lb with it and it performs extremely well with this line, which is mandatory for me. Noticed right away the light weight of this rod is already helping my endurance and look forward to my next long day of casting. Sidearm casts, underarm casts, walking the dog, and flipping are all extremely easy with this rod because of the light weight and action of the rod. The real seat and grips are awesome, and probably the best feeling grip material I've ever used. Great rod and good job Cabela's!

An excellent rod for the price. It is very light and performs well. I have recently purchased another one.
