Great punchin' rod for cheap

I bought the 7'8" heavy casting rod and love it. It's perfect for punch fishing largemouth bass on the CA Delta. I was surprised by the sensitivity of the tip while maintaining lots of backbone for pulling fish through very thick mats. I plan on ordering another one for throwing Lunker Punkers. I highly recommend this rod for punching and throwing heavy jerkbaits.

Solid, sensitive casting rod

I recently purchased the Cabela's Tourney Trail baitcasting rod in the 7' MH version. After several bass outings, it has handled much better than my previous Pflueger and Redhead rods. Very sensitive for the heavier action. I recommend it for bass pitching and will also use it for walleye trolling.

Great Rod

Have only used it a couple times so far, but so far so good. Good sensitivity.

Sent it Back

My complaint with this rod is that my idea of a "Fast Tip" is different from Cabela's. For a "Fast Tip", it was very stiff. I found this to be true of the three rods I have bought through Cabela's. The other thing I did not like is that the grip was on the small side, so it did not feel secure in my hand.
