Great for years

I have had one of these for my larger boat for years and got a number of them for a smaller boat because I liked the first one so much. The other reviewer says they are flimsy, but I don't see it being that way and I'm 200 + dressed out. and I trust them to be sturdy and sound.

Excellent product

I have had one of these on my boat trailer based in the South of France for three years now, I note the comments about the top being flimsy, I totally disagree, I have used them extensively and they have kept their shape and remain like new, I would highly reccomend them.

Good step

Just what I needed wile loading my boat to keep from slipping off the trailer tongue I,m 200lbs. and it works for me.

Negative Reviews:

Flimsy and sharp

Used for 3 years now and its still on the trailer. Item effectively widens the trailer tongue helping with balance, but you can't stand anywhere but center on the item as it will bend badly and potentially fold over on you (I'm 200lbs). The edges are also surprisingly sharp so if you bump it with your leg, expect a nice cut...found that out the hard way. As previously stated, mounting brackets are very secure, so that's a plus, but overall this is just not worth it. I'd give it 3 stars and recommend it if it was either flimsy or sharp, but not both. Go to the hardware store, spend half as much and get a good chunk of wood and brackets, seal it, mount it, call it a day.
